Stogies & Steaks began in the summer of 2015 as a customer appreciation dinner for patrons of Cavalier Cigar Company, welcoming around 75 guests to its first event. What started as a small gathering has grown steadily over the years—always with the goal of giving back, not turning a profit.

In 2019, Stogies & Steaks partnered with the Bubba Moore Foundation of Bryan–College Station as its official benefactor. Since then, 100% of the event’s net proceeds have been donated directly to the foundation. To date, Stogies & Steaks has proudly contributed over $100,000 to support its mission.

While the primary event continues to support the Bubba Moore Foundation, additional fundraising initiatives have allowed Stogies & Steaks to extend its impact to other local charities. In 2025, a new “game” was introduced, raising more than $8,000 for Grimes County Animal Rescue and Zoi’s Animal Rescue.

To support continued growth and long-term impact, Texas Charitable Group, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was established in 2024 as the parent organization of Stogies & Steaks. Through this structure, the event aims to expand its reach and continue making meaningful contributions to the Bryan–College Station community.
